Discussing swallowing concerns
Tell the therapist about changes during meals, the current feeding plan and any recent medical assessment. Swallowing concerns require an individual assessment; the right next step depends on the person’s medical history and current condition.
What an assessment and care plan involve
The appointment reviews your concerns, relevant reports and current needs. Alireza discusses therapy goals, caregiver guidance and follow-up with you. Further medical or instrumental assessment may be needed through the treating team.
NG tubes, PEG feeding and tracheostomy
Care focuses on communication and swallowing needs alongside the wider medical plan. Tube removal, oral feeding changes and tracheostomy decisions require the treating team’s assessment and authorization. Booking therapy does not imply that a tube can be removed.
Hospital follow-up and home visits
Alireza works part-time at Canadian Specialist Hospital. For follow-up at home in Dubai, contact him to discuss clinical suitability, your area and availability. The setting is confirmed before an appointment.
Common questions
Can you support a patient with an NG tube?
Yes, swallowing rehabilitation for NG-tube cases is an area of Alireza’s practice. Assessment and coordination with the treating team determine the plan; tube removal is not guaranteed.
Can swallowing therapy be arranged at home?
Home visits can be discussed for suitable cases across Dubai. Some assessments or medical needs require a hospital setting.
